Quantum refers to the amount of energy

carried by a photon. apogee quantum meters

approximate the quantity of photon js between

400 and 700 nanometers.

Photosynthesis is largely driven by

the number of photons between these

wave lengths, so this radiation is

called the photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF）

and is measured in μmol m-2　s-1 .

コアラバンドを使えば、樹木の

幹に軽くはさむだけで

ワンタッチで固定できる。

固定金具やポールなどは不要となる。


使いかた

1)応答器の青いクランプにバンドを通し

適当な高さ（目の高さ）の幹表面に押し付ける.


2) 弾力性のあるバンドは幹をしっかり

はさんで応答器は一定の位置に固定されます。

3) さらに念のため 鋼製」の爪を樹皮に

押し付けて固定すればなお確実です。

Q1: 手前に池や川などの障害物があって直接測定できない
　　場所にある樹木の直径を遠隔から測定する器具を
　　探しています。電源不要のアナログ式を希望します。

Q2: 樹木の任意の高さ（手の届かない位置）の直径を
　　測定できる器具を教えて下さい。




A1&2:　ペンタプリズムキャリパー

という米国製の光学式アナログ輪尺があります。

簡単に言えば仮想の巨大クチバシを持った輪尺です。

視認できる距離なら任意の高さの直径がワンタッチで

正確に測定できます。電池はありません。

手持ちで操作できますがビデオカメラ用三脚に取付けると

安定した操作で高精度測定が実現します。
（距離17mで+/-2cm)。

高角度の位置で測定した上部直径を補正するため

（SUUNTO専用）クリノメーター取付金具も準備

されています（別売）。

Q3: どのような原理で測定できるのですか？

A3：固定式プリズムと可動式プリズムを一つの筐体に配置し

実像と虚像の位置する位置で直径を目盛上で確認します。

あたかも巨大なジョー（クチバシ）を持つ輪尺と

同じ働きをします。



Q4: どうのようにして使うのですか？

A4: 両手でペンタプリズムキャリパーを保持し
本体から7〜8cm眼を離して窓をのぞきます。

　　目標の樹木の測定部分を視認上部窓の幹左端と

　　下部窓の右端が一直線に並ぶ位置で可動プリズムを

　　停止し指針を読みます。　

　　スケール上の数値　mm/inchが　直径です。

Q1:応答器 の使い方は？






A1:マニュアル P.18 を熟読してください。

　応答器の機能はバーテックス測定器との超音波送受信で、

　測定器から発射された超音波が応答器に跳ね返されて測定器に

　戻ってくるまでの飛行時間から距離が計算されます。　

　
　

（イ）直接対向で使用した場合の受信角度は60度 です。

　　　測定器と応答器の2点セットをメーカーでは60モデルと呼んでいます。

　　　通常の距離（斜距離と水平距離）垂直角度、高さ測定が行えます。





（ロ）（森林資源モニタリング調査で行う円形プロットの半径測定の際）

A：デンドロメーターを大別すると

以下のような３タイプにわかれます。




DC

イ：幹周タイプ　DC (バンド式・ワイヤー方式）
　　利点:周囲を測定するので変化量が大きく
　　　　　幹全体を測定できます。
　　短所：幹への密着状態を保つ必要があり
　　　　　装着してからしばらくは
　　　　　幹との接点が安定しないと
　　　　　うまくデータを得られない。
　　　　　特に幹の計上がいびつな広葉樹や
　　　　　大木では問題があります。

ロ：直径タイプ DD　イとハの中間タイプ




DR


ハ：半径タイプ DR
　　半径方向の１点で測定します。
　　長所：どのような幹形状幹でも装着できる。
　　欠点：変化量が小さくなるので
　　　　　幹全体のの成長量を測定できない




研究の目的が幹の成長量変化を

How to replace Clutch





Q2: Please advise how to exchange　clutch
of Resistograph F series.

A2: Please proceed steps as follows.





1) Take off plastic clutch cover with supplied
flat screw driver.







2) Now you can see clutch screws.

Torque Wrench in Hand





3) Put the T-wrench through thr toruque wrench

and lock it into the clutch screws.









4) Hold on to the torque wrench and turn t-wrench

counter clockwise.






5)Take out small nut







6) Place screw driver through torque wrench and

engage in driving screw.

Then locj in torque wrench, hold on to screw driver

and turn wrench counter clockwise to loosen the big nut.







7)Now, hold IML Resistograph instrument

upside down and shake out the clutch discs.








8) Picture shows clutch discs


Replace them and make sure they are

together concave when you put them

back into the instrument.

Now tighten big nut with torque wrench

and screw driver turning only the black

band to reach a certain torque.

Then, put t-wrench through torque wrench,

engage both wrenches with the nuts and

tighten small nut by holding onto

the torque wrench while turning

the t-wrench clockwise!

Q: Please advise how to exchange drill needle.


A: Please proceed steps as follows.

■Exchange Drill Needle



Drive drilling needle out to end position

(all the way to the front)


Locate hole on paper REPLACEing plate and

line up set screw until it shows black by

quickly operating the Bosch drill.

Then open set screw counter clockwise

with 2.5mm hexagon key and take out drill bit.


Now replace dull drill bit with new one and

tighten set screw again.

Then drive drill bit back into instrument



In case of excess power to the drill,

the safety pin will be broken.

You have to exchange new one

Open metal cover (4x body screws) with 2mm hexagon key

REPLACE hexagon wrench into the shear pin hole







Take out safety pin with driver that is supplied

in tool kit. The use of a hammer is advised for

tapping the driver. If the safety pin does not

come out, loosen the 2x hexagon screws

that hold the Bosch drill.







Open the drill chuck and move






Bosch drill over to right or left for simple removal





Find new safety pin in toolkit and REPLACE in shows hole.

Make sure that the two little dots on both the hexagon

piece and the gear piece are lined up.

Otherwise the safety pin cannot be REPLACEed!

Then put the Bosch drill back onto the instrument!

The resistograph is an instrument that detects

decay and cavities in trees and timber.



The resistograph is an ideal device for

estimating tree stability and longevity.

As the micro drill enters the tree, the resistance

of the wood changes the rotation speed of the drill.



Applications:

- living trees

- dead stems

- roof beams

- bridge timbers

- wooden framed houses

- root, trunk and climbing inspections

- tree growth diameter,tree ring analysis

- timber bridge inspection

Its advantage is that it detects decay with virtually

no tree damage. It also enables you to analyze

annual ring structures and to determine the growth

tendency according to the width of annual rings.

The Resistograph functions by driving a microdrill

(3.0 mm tip, 1.5mm shaft) into the timber at constant

speed using a Bosch drill attachment.





Dril bit





The wood will only be insignificantly injured, and

the drilling hole closes itself due to a special

drilling angle that was customized for the drill bit.

A special computer program (F-Tools, E-Tools, B-Tools,

and T-Tools - see Electronic Unit) is available for all

instruments.




Three instruments are available that offer drilling

depths of 300, 400 and 500mm respectively.
